Image fusion gives you more
When faced with demanding image processing tasks, it is often beneficial to consider whether image fusion might provide a solution.
In simple terms, image fusion combines the best features from multiple sensors, and discards low-grade information before combining the available information to form a synthetic image.
Such fused images significantly reduce the workload on operators as the integration of the images has already been performed before they view the result.
Also since the fusion process can combine multiple sensors' view of the same scene, additional correlation is made possible, further enhancing the operators' ability to 'see' all of the information available.
