Plot-level fusion modelling for system design
Accurately localising and tracking air targets using ground-based sensors is a demanding task. Waterfall Solutions helped one of its customers develop a specification for a multiple ground-based sensor system that will accurately determine target positions and track multiple targets using radar and electro-optic sensor measurements.
Using our expertise in data fusion algorithms and knowledge of sensor systems, a comprehensive study of data fusion architecture and algorithm options were assessed and the performance of the final specified system was modelled.

Given the scenario illustrated in the plan-view diagram above, two sensors detect and track an inbound aircraft.
