Waterfall Solutions Innovation Award 2009
Each year we select one of our staff to receive the Waterfall Solutions Innovation Award, and in 2009 the winner is Damien Clarke, pictured here (centre) with Mark Bernhardt, Chief Scientist and Dr Moira Smith, Managing Director.
Throughout the year we encourage everyone in the company to generate ideas and log them into our innovation database, and these ideas are shortlisted for competition as the award date approaches.
Each shortlisted idea is presented to the management team by its originator, and they then select the overall winner for the year.
Damien's award was for a novel multi-spectral sensor system that has potential application and benefits to both defence and security applications. Over the next few months Damien will be leading a Private Venture (PV) programme to further assess the feasibility and commercial potential of the idea.
