Waterfall Solutions Limited was founded in September 1999 by Dr Moira Smith to provide a new and very different approach to providing technical excellence in design and consultancy within the UK defence sector. The business philosophy was to provide value for money through a straightforward commercial approach built upon integrity and flexibility. This ethos underpins the business today.

Waterfall Solutions has significantly evolved since its origins as a purely defence technology provider. Today, we offer not only innovative research, but also the rapid transition of ideas to demonstrators and products. Our capabilities extend to a wide range of commercial markets as well as the defence sector, and our Customer base is international.

As the company has moved to a balanced portfolio of defence and commercial activities, we have been able to realise the benefits of operating in both arenas to all of our Customers. For those in the defence sector, we can bring the very latest commercial electronic devices, exploiting these cost-effective components as well as the fast pace of this sector. Commercial Customers also gain by having leading-edge technology developed for the most demanding of military scenarios available to them readily and affordably.

Our base has remained in Guildford, Surrey throughout that time, with a move to brand new facilities in 2005. With an increasingly international Customer base, 2009  has seen the Company offer in-country support to our Australian Customers from where we’re well placed to service the Asian as well as Australasian market.
